61-69 Lincoln Continental
The 61-69 Suicide door Lincolns is one of our favorite cars here at Hanco Design and Fabrication
The 61-69 Lincolns are very interesting cars to work on and modify.
Most everything is vacuum controlled from the factory from the truck latch to door locks and E-brake.
The Hydraulic windshield wiper motor is another talking point for sure with these cars.
We have owned and worked on this platform for many years, and have experience with the factory 430-462 MEL to when they switched to the 385 series engine in mid 68.
This will be one of the cars we will continue to support and help customers keep there’s going or build out custom.

Complete AOD Transmission Conversion mated to 430 MEL engine.

Upgraded internals to handle the torque the 430 can put out.
AOD transmission vs Original Transmission
There is only a few overdrive transmissions that will fit in the Lincoln’s transmission tunnel with out modifying the tunnel.
This is one of the options to make that happen.
